HVAC & Refrigeration Parts Replacement in Melbourne

Many breakdowns come down to one worn part. We identify it, source a compatible replacement and fit it, without replacing the whole system.

Overview

Fans, heaters, controllers & parts for homes and businesses

Airmax replaces parts in air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment in Melbourne homes and businesses, after diagnosing the fault. This includes fan motors, electric and defrost heaters, thermostats, controllers, sensors and electrical components. We fit parts as part of a repair; we don't sell spare parts.

We work across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Every job starts with a written quote.

Not covered on this page

Fan motors and airflow parts

Indoor and outdoor fan motors, fan blades, belts and bearings wear out over time. Signs include noise, weak airflow, a fan that won't start, or equipment that overheats and shuts down. Exhaust fans in commercial kitchens are covered too.

Electric heaters and defrost heaters

Some systems use electric heater elements for supplementary heat. Freezer rooms and freezers use defrost heaters to clear ice from the evaporator, and door frame heaters to stop doors freezing shut. When these fail, the symptoms are poor heating, ice build-up or doors that stick.

Thermostats, controllers, sensors and electrical parts

Controllers, temperature sensors, control boards, capacitors, contactors and relays all fail from time to time. A single faulty sensor can make a system behave as if something much bigger is wrong.

Compatibility, availability and replacement

We identify the part from the equipment's make and model and the failed component itself, then source a genuine or compatible replacement. Where a part is no longer available, we'll explain the alternatives.

FAQ

Common questions

More answers on our FAQ page.

How do you identify the correct replacement part?

From the equipment's make and model, the part number on the failed component, and the manufacturer's parts information. We confirm compatibility before ordering.

Can a fan or controller be replaced without replacing the system?

Yes, in most cases. Replacing a failed part is usually far cheaper than a new system, provided the rest of the equipment is in reasonable condition.
