Display fridge installation & repairs for business premises

Airmax installs, services and repairs commercial display fridges and cabinets in Melbourne. We work on cabinet performance, temperature faults, condensation and controls, and advise on placement for new installations. We don't sell display fridges on their own.

Display cabinet types

We work on commercial display refrigeration including upright glass-door fridges, open-front multideck cabinets and food display cases. Some are self-contained with a built-in compressor; others are connected to a remote condensing unit. Send us the make and model to confirm we can help.

Placement, airflow and installation requirements

Self-contained cabinets need space around them to reject heat, and cabinets near doors, heaters or direct sun struggle to hold temperature. For new installations we check placement, clearances, power and, for remote cabinets, the pipework route to the condensing unit.

Uneven cooling, condensation and control faults

Display cabinets often fail gradually: some shelves run warm, glass fogs up, ice forms behind panels, or the controller alarms. Causes include blocked airflow, failed fans, door heater faults, dirty condensers and refrigerant leaks.

Repair and maintenance options

We diagnose and quote the repair, confirming part availability. Regular servicing, especially condenser cleaning on self-contained units, helps cabinets hold temperature and last longer.

FAQ

Common questions

More answers on our FAQ page.

What can cause a display fridge to cool unevenly?

Blocked air curtains or vents from overloaded shelves, a failed fan, ice on the evaporator, a dirty condenser or low refrigerant. We check each and explain the cause.

What clearance does a cabinet need?

It depends on the model. Self-contained cabinets need space for heat to escape, as set out in the manufacturer's instructions. We check this on site.
