Air conditioning guide
How split, ducted, cassette and commercial systems differ, how to choose one, and where to go for installation, servicing or repairs.
Our air conditioning service covers everything from choosing the right system to keeping it running for years. We size each system to your rooms, insulation and sun, install it neatly with correct pipework and drainage, and commission it before we leave. When something goes wrong, our licensed technicians diagnose the fault and repair it properly.
Every installation is backed by our workmanship guarantee.

Whether you need a new system, a yearly service or a repair, Airmax looks after every part of your air conditioning. We work on all major brands for homes, offices, shops and facilities, and every job comes with a written quote.
We size the system to the space, recommend the right brand and model, and install it neatly with a full commissioning check.
A yearly service keeps your system efficient, healthy and within warranty. We clean, test and report on every unit.
Not cooling, leaking or making noise? Our technicians find the fault, explain the fix and quote before any work starts.
A good install matters as much as the unit. We check insulation, room sizes and sun exposure, then recommend the system that will heat and cool the space efficiently. For commercial sites we also handle crane lifts and rooftop plant, and schedule the work to keep your business running.

Not sure which one suits you? We'll recommend the right type after a free on-site measure.

They’re the same technology. A reverse-cycle air conditioner is a heat pump: it moves heat out of your home in summer and pulls heat in from outside air in winter. That makes it one of the cheapest ways to heat a home in Victoria, and a common replacement for gas heating.
“Heat pump” can also mean a heat pump hot water system, which uses the same principle to heat water.
